Kidepo Valley National Park, located in northeastern Uganda, bordering South Sudan, is a breathtaking wilderness known for its rugges savannah, dramatic landscapes, and rich variety of wildlife. The park is home to over 77 mammal species and more than 475 bird species, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers. Its remote location ensures a serene safari experience, free from the typical crowds found in other national parks.

Kidepo is also home to the Karamojong people, so you will see many of their villages in the area, and may arrange a visit to their community.

An itinerary that includes Kidepo needs to allow for travel time to this most remote of Uganda’s parks. We suggest four days at a minimum, allowing for two days of wildlife viewing in the park.
