Day 1: Arrive and transfer to guesthouse
On your arrival at Entebbe Airport, our English-speaking guide will receive you and transfer you to a guesthouse or hotel within Entebbe town. At your guesthouse or hotel, you will be given a briefing about the safari and get to know each other with the guide.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo and evening game drive
Today you will transfer by road to the beautiful Lake Mburo National Park. The park is approximately 5 hours from Entebbe. Along the way, you will stop at the equator line for a washroom break and you can as well take some photos and grab a bite. You will continue your journey via Lyantonde town after which you will proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, home of zebra, giraffes, baboons, elands, warthogs, impalas and many more. Lake Mburo is one of the most beautiful parks in Uganda and known for its zebras. After the evening game drive, your guide will then drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla National Park
You will exit Lake Mburo National Park in the morning after breakfast and embark on a journey to the hilly districts of Kabale and Kisoro in Southwestern Uganda. On your way there, you will use a winding paved road with scenery that is among the best in the world. The Virunga volcano scenery will leave you mesmerized as you are being driven to Bwindi Gorilla National Park.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking
Visiting the Mountain Gorillas, in the dense jungle of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, is one of the most rewarding, moving and emotional activities that can be done in Africa.
The first time you perceive the presence of gorillas, either through their sounds or because you see them up close, the sensations that run through your body are indescribable. Your hair stands on end, your heart races, an emotion like you’ve never experienced overcomes you. This moment marks you forever.
The trekking begins at 8:00 am with registration and a short briefing by rangers. The trekking can last from a few hours to a whole day, depending on where the Gorilla family is at that time.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and transfer by road for 6 hours to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the afternoon. The journey takes you through the beautiful towns and countryside of Rubanda, Kabale, Ntugamo, Ishaka, and Rubirizi districts. In Kabale town, you will have a stopover for lunch and washroom break before continuing your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way there is an option of visiting the Kitagata Hot Spring and soaking yourself in the body-healing waters. You will have a mini game drive as you arrive in the park heading to your lodge. Wildlife such as elephants, warthogs and antelopes are usually by the road feeding.

Day 6: Game drive and boat cruise
At 6:30 in the morning on this day, after breakfast, you will set off for the game drive. Game drives are best done in the morning when animals are still active and the sun is not yet hot. The game drive will take 4 hours as you look for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, warthogs, birds, antelopes, and many more. The driver guide will be at your service sharing information about the variety of wildlife. After the game drive, you will drive to your lodge for lunch, finishing in time for the launch boat cruise at 2pm along the Kazinga channel. The boat cruise is for two hours and takes you downstream to Lake Edward. Prepare to see hippos, elephants, Nile crocodiles and many more animals while on the boat. The boat has a guide and onboard washroom to make the cruise as comfortable as possible. On return, your guide will be waiting to take you back to the lodge for dinner under the stars.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park (The Primate Capital of the World)
Today after breakfast, you will transfer by road for 2 hours to Kibale Forest National Park arriving in time for lunch. The journey takes you through the beautiful countryside of Kasese and tea plantations of Kabarole district. In Fort Portal town, you will have a stopover for a washroom break before continuing your journey to the lodge. There is an option of visiting the King’s Palace overlooking Fort Portal town and get immersed in the culture of the Toro Kingdom, one of the ancient Kingdoms of Africa.

Day 8: Chimp tracking in Kibale National Park.
Chimpanzees share 98% of their DNA with humans making them our cousins by default. They live most of their life in trees feeding on figs and other fruits but often come down to the ground.
On this day, you will have breakfast early morning after which you will set off for chimpanzee tracking. You will be given a briefing about chimpanzee tracking by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. After the briefing, you will start to walk in the forest looking for chimpanzees. The tracking is a 4 hours’ activity and you should be done tracking by midday in time for hot lunch at your lodge. You will then relax at your lodge for the afternoon, or take a guided walk through the community to visit the coffee grower, a healer, a banana gin maker, and the basket weavers.

Day 9: Transfer to Entebbe Airport for flight home
Having had an energy giving breakfast, you will checkout of the lodge at 8am and transfer back to Entebbe via Fort-Portal, Mubenda and Mityana. Your driver guide will stop for a wash room break in Mityana. The transfer by road is adventure filled where you see colorful roadside markets, typical Ugandan town hustle & bustle, motorbike, taxis and people working in their farmlands. You will then continue your journey to Entebbe where you will pass by a guesthouse to get refreshed before catching your flight home.
